    • Rules and Regulations of CDTA Tennis League

      • CDTA reserves the right to include/ reject or promote/ relegate any team without assigning any reasons
      • Each round comprises of 3 doubles matches. Each match to be played best of 3 Sets. First 2 Sets will have normal 7 Point TieBreaker sets. A 10 Point Match Tie Break will be played in lieu of the final set( 3rd set in this case)
      • All the matches should be played on the same surface or as agreed mutually (clay/synthetic)
      • Only players from the enrolled list are permitted to participate in the matches. No additional or change of player will be entertained once the final league fixtures are released
      • The tournament is open only to those players who are residents of Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode & Nilgiri Districts
      • No players shall participate in more than one match in any given round
      • The Home Team shall provide 3 fresh stock new balls for each match. Only ITF / AITA approved balls should be used
      • The Visiting Team on arrival at the venue of the match, shall report to the captain of the Home Team who will attend to the conduct of the matches immediately
      • The captains of both the teams will draw lots for the matches and the matches shall be played as per order of lots. Players of all the 3 matches (6 Players from each team) Home & Visiting should be physically present at the venue before the draw of lots
      • If both the teams have mutually agreed to play the matches in advance of the scheduled date, they are at liberty to do so. However, matches can't be postponed except on the account of inclement weather conditions
      • If the fixture is washed out during the week, it should be completed immediately on the resumption of good weather condition by the following Monday by 6 pm. In normal circumstances match should be played as per schedule and result should be updated in the website immediately. The same must be intimated to the Tournament director through SMS or WhatsApp (+919443286207). If the matches are not played as per schedule, points will not be awarded to both the teams
      • Both the teams shall send the result to the Tournament Director in the result card and by WhatsApp after the completion of the matches on that particular week. The result has to be updated on the website by using the log in details sent to all the team captains
      • The Visiting Team shall contact the Home Team well in advance at least before 48 hours to schedule the matches. It is the responsibility of the Home Team to arrange for the courts in good condition as per norms and complete the matches as per schedule
      • Even though the decision of the Home Team is final in scheduling the week's match either on Saturday or Sunday (M/E), they may consider the request of the Visiting Team before fixing the day and time
      • The Home Team has to provide hospitality to the visiting team players
      • Of the 3 matches in the fixture, the winner of each match will get one point and loser will get none
      • The team winning the maximum number of points will be declared as the winner and awarded a Rolling Shield. Individual prizes will also be given to all the players of the top three teams in each division
      • Morning matches should start on or before 7:00 AM. Evening matches must start on or before 3:00 PM
      • In case of 2 teams having equal points, their Head to Head score will decide the winner. In case of a 3 way tie then the team with the minimum number of sets lost will be declared as the winner
      • Based on this year's results, promotion and relegation of 2 teams of the divisions would be carried to next year. Anyhow, more teams can be retained or promoted to balance the number of teams in each division
      • Any dispute relating to the Technical Conduct of the league shall be referred only to the Tournament Director / Co-ordinator. The Tournament Director decision is final
      • For any other dispute the decision of the CDTA Committee is final
      • CDTA will inform the team captains about the prize distribution ceremony after the completion of the matches
      • No player is allowed to play in more than 1 team. In case of any doubt regarding the identity of the player, Tournament Director / Co-ordinator to sort out the problem before the start of the match
      • All communications should be addressed to the Tournament Director

NOTE

The entry fee is INR 900/- per player. A team participating for the first time has to pay INR 5,000/- as affiliation fee.
It is Mandatory for the teams to upload passport size photographs for all their team members in the group on the website along with one of the address proofs. If the picture or ID proof of a particular team member is not uploaded before the deadline, then the player will not be allowed to play in the tournament. If a particular team does not upload the photo or ID proof of all of its team members (Minimum 6 Players), then the entire team will not be allowed to play. However, no data can be uploaded after the given registration deadline.
